Description

The scenic beauty of Milford Sound is hard to surpass. Joseph Rudyard Kipling (English journalist) called it the “Eighth wonder of the world” - many iconic New Zealand photographic images are from Milford Sound.

The Sounds are located deep within Fiordland National Park – a part of the World Heritage site, on the remote southwest coast of New Zealand’s South Island.

Start early for the big day out…..

The road to Milford Sound is incredibly scenic, our first stop will be at Te Anau – the gateway to Milford Sounds, where you will have an opportunity to enjoy the stunning Mirror Lakes where on a calm day, the Earl Mountains can be seen reflected in the water.

Further down the road we will have a brief stop to experience Chasm Viewing Bridge  and take a short but impressive walk over footbridges and see a series of powerful, swirling waterfalls.

We will then continue our drive to Milford Sounds and explore it on a sightseeing cruise, where you will admire the amazing and beautiful sights of Milford Sound on a 1.5 hours scenic cruise. Explore one of world’s incredible natural wonders along with the fur seals, dolphins, penguins and Mitre Peak located at the summit of the sound, rising 1692 metres above sea level.

We then head back to Queenstown, allowing you to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery in luxurious comfort.
