Description

Our Three day Bottom Bus tour is one of the best ways to see the Bottom of the South Island.

In a minimum of three days you can experience the adrenaline in Queenstown, take in the breathtaking scenery with a cruise on the majestic Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park, explore the Catlins wildlife and wonders and bathe in the heritage of Dunedin.

Want to spend extra nights at one of our stops? No problem you can hop off for a night or two and get on our next bus coming through. Want to catch a ferry over to Stewart Island (extra cost) and try your luck at spotting a Kiwi bird? Sweet as! We will drop you off in Bluff to catch the first ferry of the day. You can then spend a night, or even more, on Stewart Island and catch the first ferry from Stewart Island back to Bluff where we will be waiting for you to carry on through The Catlins to Dunedin.

Day One:
Depart Queenstown between 8:15am and 8.45am (depending on where you would like to be picked up from) on the Kiwi Experience bus bound for Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on the Milford Sound before Kiwi Experience bring you back through to Mossburn where your Bottom Bus driver will be waiting for you to carry on through to Invercargill for the night. Arrival into Invercargill is at approx 9pm.

Day Two:
Depart Invercargill between 8.15am and 8.45am (depending on where you would like to be picked up from) and head down to Bluff. After we drop people off in Bluff who want to catch the ferry over to Stewart Island and pick those up coming back from Stewart Island we head on through to the first Catlins stop of the day, Waipapa Point, where you may spot a New Zealand Seal Lion or two. After Waipapa Point we carry on to Curio Bay/Porpoise Bay to check out the petrified forest and see if we can spot some Dolphins. Then it on to one of the many Waterfalls in The Catlins before arriving into Owaka for a short stop. After Owaka we head through to Kaka Point for the infamous Kaka Point Light House walk before stopping at Roaring Bay to see if we can see some Yellow Eyed Penguins before finishing the day in Dunedin at around 7pm. We also make various stops throughout The Catlins at scenic looks outs for photo opportunities so be sure to remember to bring your camera.

Day Three:
Depart Dunedin at 11.30am for a nice relaxing drive through scenic Central Otago into Queenstown. Arrival into Queenstown is at approx 5.30pm.
